NT Domata Peko will miss this week's game because of a sprained MCL suffered last week. Peko's play has been crucial to the Broncos' run defense, which improved from a shaky 2016 to rank first in the league against the run on a per-carry basis.

NFL Note - Denver Broncos Talib, Aqib

CB Aqib Talib's suspension was reduced from two games to one after a Tuesday appeal. Talib was suspended after a fracas involving him and Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree in which the two exchanged punches, with Talib grabbing Crabtree's necklace for a second consecutive season. It is Talib's second one-game suspension in the last three seasons.

NFL Note - Denver Broncos Langley, Brendan

CB Brendan Langley was targeted by the Raiders in the wake of Aqib Talib's ejection last week and he will likely be a focal point of the Dolphins' attack once again. The rookie was forced into action as the No. 3 cornerback last week after Talib was thrown out following his scuffle with Michael Crabtree and was beaten for a second-quarter touchdown by Amari Cooper. He was also targeted on the game-clinching catch-and-run by Derek Carr and Cordarrelle Patterson; Carr lofted a pass under a blitz to Patterson, who was in single coverage from Langley.

NFL Note - Indianapolis Colts Melvin, Rashaan

CB Rashaan Melvin (hand) did not practice Wednesday and is not expected to play Sunday at Jacksonville.

Head coach Chuck Pagano said Wednesday that Melvin suffered a dislocation of a metatarsal bone in his right hand. There is the possibility the defensive back could play as soon as next week for the Buffalo game. The injury does not require surgery.

NFL Note - Indianapolis Colts Kelly, Ryan

C Ryan Kelly (concussion) sat out Wednesday's workout. He remains in the league protocol and is not expected to be available for the Jacksonville game.

Kelly was hurt in the second quarter of last week's home game with Tennessee and did not return. A final decision on whether he will be cleared to play Sunday will made after Friday's workout.

RB Adrian Peterson (neck) highlighted a list of seven players who did not practice on Wednesday.

Peterson was hurt during Sunday's win over the Jaguars, according to head coach Bruce Arians, who didn't provide any specifics. Peterson enters Sunday's game against the Rams needing four rushing yards to pass Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk (12,279) for 11th place on the NFL's all-time rushing yardage list. He also is just 37 yards shy of passing Hall of Famer Jim Brown (12,312) for 10th place.

K Phil Dawson was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in last Sunday's 27-24 victory over the Jaguars.

Dawson made all four of his field-goal attempts, including a career-long 57-yarder that won the game with a second left to play. Dawson now has 40 career field goal of 50 yards or longer. It was the 19th time in his career in which he has made at least four field goals in a game.

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Lee, Andy

P Andy Lee has had 10 punts downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line in his last two games and now ranks eighth on the NFL's all-time list with 365 career punts inside the 20.

"Andy's kicking the ball so well," head coach Bruce Arians said. "We're doing a really good job of securing the protections, so that he can step up and really get it off. His hang time and direction has been outstanding."

A first-round draft pick in 2000, Janikowski is the Raiders' all-time leader in scoring (1,799 points) and games played (268). He holds the NFL record for the most field goals of 50 yards or more with 55.
