Motorcycle crash kills Lincoln man

LINCOLN

The Logan County Coroner, Robert Thomas, has announced that
Donald W. Wheeler, Jr., age 42, of Lincoln, IL. was pronounced dead at 10:13 pm on September 29, 2017 .

Mr. Wheeler was traveling south on Limit Street in Lincoln. His motorcycle left the roadway. He was transported to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital and pronounced deceased by the Emergency Department staff.

This death is being investigated by the Lincoln Police Department, and the Logan County Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy was performed and the results are pending.

Fricke, Calvert, Schrader Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
