LINCOLN

The 2017 United Way of Logan County Campaign is now underway! The goal for the campaign is to raise $150,000 to be distributed in 2018 among 15 different non-profit programs that assist Logan County citizens in need.

Representatives from three of those agencies spoke at the event which was held at the historic Logan County Courthouse. The audience learned of the work that these agencies do and how United Way partners with them. Becky Leamon from Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois spoke about the senior nutrition program, which she manages. Director of Christian Child Care, Liberty Canady and the Director of the Oasis Senior Citizen Center, Dom Dalpoas, also spoke of the work their agencies are able to accomplish in part because of United Way sponsorship.

Seth Goodman, Mayor of Lincoln and Honorary Chairperson of this year's campaign kicked us off inviting us to come together for a stronger community!

The United Way of Logan County exists to bring the community together. The overall goal of the organization is to improve lives in Logan County by focusing resources where they are needed. This is done by bringing non-profit organizations and programs together with community leaders, employees and residents.
