Bree Abbott named September

FFA has selected senior FFA member, Bree Abbott, as the member of
the month for September. Bree is the daughter of Debra and Michael
Abbott of Minier. Bree was selected for her outstanding achievements
in horse judging as well as her involvement in FFA community service
activities. This new monthly award is sponsored by Dietrich
Builders, Inc.
Bree has been a dedicated FFA member for all four years of high
school. Her supervised agricultural experience project centers
around her horses. Bree plans to pursue a career as a veterinarian
and would also like to train horses. She intends to start college at
Heartland Community College and then transfer to Illinois State
University.

Ultimately she hopes to attend vet school at Iowa State
University. Bree is also active in McLean County 4-H and the Pekin Riding Club.
“My passion is to help animals and people. I hope to open my own vet clinic out
