10/13/2017 NFL Note - Minnesota Vikings Bradford, Sam
QB Sam Bradford of the Minnesota Vikings was ruled out for Sunday's
game against the Green Bay Packers. Bradford returned last week from
a three-game absence due to an ailing left knee, but he aggravated
the injury late in the first half of Monday night's 20-17 victory
over the Chicago Bears. Bradford did not practice all week.

NFL Note - Minnesota Vikings Keenum, Case
QB Case Keenum will return to the starting role against the Green
Bay Packers on Sunday as Minnesota Vikings starter Sam Bradford
(knee) will miss the contest. Keenum will get his fourth start of
the season against the Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium. He came in for
Bradford against the Bears and finished with 140 yards on 17-of-21
passing and a touchdown.

QB Derek Carr was removed from the team's injury report on Friday
and will start Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Carr
missed last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens due to a transverse
process fracture in his back. He suffered the injury against the
Denver Broncos on Oct. 1.

NFL Note - Los Angeles Chargers Williams, *Mike
WR Mike Williams of the Los Angeles Chargers declared himself ready
to make his NFL debut this weekend against the host Oakland Raiders.
Coach Anthony Lynn, however, took a more cautious approach in regard
to Williams, saying that he'd need to look at film from Friday's
practice before making a decision. Williams has been sidelined since
May after suffering a herniated disk in his lower back during rookie
minicamp. The Clemson product was listed as limited in practice
Friday and is questionable on the injury report.

NFL Note - Jacksonville Jaguars Linder, Brandon
C Brandon Linder of the Jacksonville Jaguars will sit out for the
second consecutive week with an illness ahead of Sunday's game
against the Los Angeles Rams. Coach Doug Marrone told reporters
Friday that Linder is progressing with his recovery but did not
reveal the specific ailment. Linder missed the Jaguars' 30-9 road
victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday and missed all
practices this week. The Jaguars signed Linder to a five-year, $50.7
million contract extension in July, with $24 million guaranteed.

NFL Note - Jacksonville Jaguars Shatley, Tyler
G Tyler Shatley will start in place of ill C Brandon Linder as the
AFC South-leading Jacksonville Jaguars host the Los Angeles Rams on
Sunday. Shatley also started at center last Sunday against
Pittsburgh.

NFL Note - San Francisco 49ers Bowman, NaVorro
LB NaVorro Bowman of the San Francisco 49ers was released by the
team on Friday after the veteran expressed displeasure at coming out
of last week's game against the Indianapolis Colts. The team agreed
to the 29-year-old Bowman's request to be released after trade
scenarios were investigated, according to general manager John Lynch
and coach Kyle Shanahan. The 6-foot, 242-pound Bowman was originally
selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft out
of Penn State. The eight-year veteran earned First-Team All-Pro
honors four times in his career (2011-13, 2015), as well as three
trips to the Pro Bowl (2013-14, 2016). During his career, he has
appeared in 89 games (74 starts) and registered 808 tackles, 12.5
sacks, four interceptions (returning one for a touchdown), seven
forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 28 passes defensed.
Bowman also led the team in tackles in four of the previous six
seasons (2011-13, 2015).

QB Matthew Stafford is listed as questionable for Sunday's game
against the New Orleans Saints due to an ankle injury. Stafford was
a full practice participant on Friday and expects to be able to make
his 102nd consecutive start.

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Hicks, Jordan
LB Jordan Hicks left the game with an ankle injury in the first half
and is expected to practice next week.

S Chris Maragos, captain of the Eagles' special teams, injured his
knee Thursday night and the team is awaiting results of an MRI but
the team believes there is a torn PCL.

CB Ronald Darby is close to returning from the dislocated ankle he
suffered in Week 1. Head coach Pederson doesn't expect him to

CB Sidney Jones, the team's second-round draft pick who is on the
non-football injury list recovering from a pre-draft ruptured
Achilles tendon, is eligible to start practicing next week. But head
