[October 16, 2017]  (The Sports Xchange) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken right collarbone during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Packers said in a tweet that there was a chance Rodgers could miss the rest of the season.

Rodgers suffered the injury in the first quarter after taking a hard hit from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. Rodgers, rolling out to the right on a second-and-9 play from the Green Bay 39, was hit by Barr after releasing a pass that fell incomplete.

Rodgers was 2-for-4 passing for 18 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions on Sunday. He has thrown 13 touchdown passes and three interceptions this season.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments 13-plus months ago, is hoping to come off the physically unable to perform list as early as this week.

The Sports Xchange reported last Tuesday that the Vikings were on the verge of possibly getting Bridgewater back at practice.

Barring any setbacks in his checkup with his knee surgeon on Monday, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday that Bridgewater is on track to could come off the PUP list.

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons late in the second quarter to be evaluated for a concussion and was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly after halftime.

The Dolphins were already without DeVante Parker, their second-leading receiver. He was inactive with an ankle injury.

Seven San Francisco 49ers players kneeled during the national anthem before the game against the Washington Redskins.

Eric Reid, Adrian Colbert, Eli Harold, Dekoda Watson, Marquise Goodwin, Arik Armstead and K'Waun Williams all kneeled in Landover, Md.

This comes after more than 20 players on the 49ers did the same in each of the past two weeks.

In last week's game in Indianapolis, Vice President Mike Pence left the game immediately after more than 20 San Francisco players kneeled during the anthem, with teammates standing behind them.
