10/25/2017 NFL Note - Oakland Raiders Lynch, Marshawn

RB Marshawn Lynch of the Oakland Raiders lost the appeal of his one-game suspension for making physical contact with an official, the NFL announced Tuesday. Lynch will miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills after the original ruling was upheld. With 5:48 remaining in the first half of Oakland's 31-30 win over the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday, Lynch bumped line judge Julian Mapp in the chest and then grabbed the official by his jersey before getting ejected. The incident occurred after Lynch ran off the sideline and into a scrum following a hit by Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters on Oakland quarterback Derek Carr. Peters was assessed a personal foul and several Oakland offensive linemen confronted Peters.

S Malik Hooker was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his knee during Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hooker, who was the Colts' first-round pick out of Ohio State, recorded 21 tackles and three interceptions in seven games (six starts). Hooker's recovery time is expected to last six to 10 months

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Maxwell, Byron

CB Byron Maxwell, who lost his starting job earlier this season, was released by Miami. Maxwell had 61 tackles, two interceptions and five forced fumbles in 15 games with the team over the past two seasons.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - San Francisco 49ers Hall, Leon

CB Leon Hall was re-signed to a one-year contract. Hall originally signed with the 49ers on Oct. 10. He was inactive for the Week 6 loss at Washington and released on Thursday. Jones was a first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2013, and in four seasons he registered 104 tackles and nine sacks in 59 regular-season games. -----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Peters, Jason

LT Jason Peters (knee) will miss the remainder of the season after getting hurt in Monday's 34-24 win over the Washington Redskins. Peters was carted off the field after being injured early in the third quarter. Peters tore his MCL and ACL on Monday after getting his lower leg pinned under Washington defensive tackle Ziggy Hood. Peters is a nine-time Pro Bowler and has appeared in 176 games (166 starts) for the Buffalo Bills and Eagles.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Hicks, Jordan

LB Jordan Hicks (Achilles) will miss the remainder of the season after getting hurt in Monday's 34-24 win over the Washington Redskins. Hicks recorded 19 tackles in seven games this season. -----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Dallas Cowboys Nugent, Mike

K Mike Nugent was signed to fill in for injured kicker Dan Bailey, the team announced. Fales' only NFL action game came in 2016 when he went 2-for-5 for 22 yards in one relief role.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Landry, Jarvis

WR Jarvis Landry didn't violate the league's personal conduct policy, stemming from a domestic violence incident six-plus month ago, NFL investigators reportedly concluded. Prosecutors in Broward County (Fla.) State Attorney's Office decided last month not to pursue charges against Landry. The woman, Estrella Cerqueira, is the mother of Landry's daughter and said in August that she "was not in any way physically harmed."

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Moore, Matt

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Phillips, Jordan

DT Jordan Phillips (ankle) was limited Tuesday. Phillips played for the first time in four weeks last week.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Maxwell, Byron

CB Byron Maxwell was released by the Dolphins Tuesday. Maxwell, acquired in a trade last year along with linebacker Kiko Alonso from Philadelphia, was cut to make room for backup quarterback David Fales. Maxwell had fallen out of favor partly because of his reluctance to play press coverage. But Maxwell, who has been inactive the past four games, had also lost his job for the second time in two years. Last year, he lost his job to Tony Lippett and then regained a starting job when Xavien Howard went down with a knee injury. This year Maxwell lost his starting job to rookie Cordrea Tankersley, the third-round pick from Clemson.

Bell was a fifth-round selection by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 draft from Nebraska, where he set program records for career receptions (181) and receiving yards (2,689). He was waived in September 2016 and later signed with Baltimore's practice squad. Bell was injury-waived by the Ravens during this year's training camp because of a hamstring issue. In a corresponding move, TE Gabe Holmes was released from the practice squad.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Washington Redskins Pryor, Terrelle

WR Terrelle Pryor participated in a season-low 30 snaps in the loss Monday at Philadelphia. Pryor has been plagued by drops and inconsistency all season after signing as a free agent with Washington.

Pryor played just one snap in the first half and was replaced by Josh Doctson in the starting lineup. Pryor finished with two catches for 14 yards and four targets. At 18 receptions for 223 yards and one touchdown, he is well off last year's pace with the Cleveland Browns (77 catches, 1,007 yards, four touchdowns). It is clear the Redskins want to get Doctson, their first-round draft pick in 2016, more snaps.

"We'll see how it goes moving forward," head coach Gruden said. "Right now, I think we wanted to get Josh (Doctson) in there a little bit more and see how he did. Josh did some good things, some things we need to clean up, same with Terrelle every week. Just going to continue to coach those guys up, try to play the hot hand, play the guys who are fresh and go from there."

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Baltimore Ravens Wallace, Mike

WR Mike Wallace (concussion) was on the practice field Tuesday, but was a limited participant. -----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Baltimore Ravens Suggs, Terrell

LB Terrell Suggs (knee) did not practice for the second consecutive day. He was able to play the entire game Sunday against the Vikings. Suggs leads the team with 4.5 sacks. The veteran might be getting extra rest because of the short week.

-----------------------------------------------

DE Anthony Lanier played just eight snaps in his first game of the season Monday. Washington used a five-man rotation on the defensive line with the other four players getting at least 27 snaps.

-----------------------------------------------

QB Kirk Cousins added to his record for 300-yard passing games when he hit for 303 on Monday against Philadelphia. Cousins has done it 22 times, including one postseason start.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Washington Redskins Thompson, Chris

RB Chris Thompson set a career high in receiving yards (366) in Monday's loss at Philadelphia when he had 26 yards on five catches.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Washington Redskins Reed, Jordan

TE Jordan Reed is feeling better after battling a chest contusion and sore big toe early in the regular season and during training camp. He caught a season-high eight passes on Monday at Philadelphia for 64 yards and two touchdowns, which ties his career high in that category.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Peters, Jason

LT Jason Peters tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in the third quarter Monday and is out for the season. The injury could be a career-ender for the 35-year-old nine-time Pro Bowler.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Hicks, Jordan

MLB Jordan Hicks tore his Achilles tendon on the second play of the game Monday and will miss the rest of the season.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Kendricks, Mychal

LB Mychal Kendricks missed Monday's game with a hamstring injury. However, he is expected to practice this week and play against San Francisco.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Vaitai, Halapoulivaati

T Halapoulivaati Vaitai replaced Jason Peters at left tackle Monday night after Peters was injured. Vaitai will start Sunday against San Francisco, though the Eagles haven't decided yet whether they'll move RT Lane Johnson over to left tackle and put Vaitai at right tackle, or keep Johnson at right tackle.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Philadelphia Eagles Darby, Ronald

CB Ronald Darby, who has been out since dislocating his ankle in Week 1, will continue practicing this week and could play Sunday against the 49ers.
