Children and their families will have the opportunity to “Trick or Treat with Abe” at the Lincoln Heritage Museum on Saturday, Oct. 28. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and run until 4 p.m. at the Museum on the Lincoln College campus, 1115 Nicholson Rd. This will be the second year for the special Halloween event.

Trick-or-treaters will be welcomed to the Museum by Mr. Lincoln, who will introduce them to some of his friends, as they travel backwards through time in the Museum’s second-floor gallery. There will also be several 1860s-era games for children to play including: hoop and stick, bean bag double can, jacks and marbles.

Children will receive candy as friends of the Lincoln’s share stories that will give visitors a window into the times and the lives of the Lincolns. Guests will also have the chance to learn proper fan etiquette from Mary Todd Lincoln.

There is no admission fee, but donations of one or more cans of food to be donated to the Lincoln Food Pantry are appreciated.
