Mets 6, Phillies 3 (6 innings)

Travis d'Arnaud hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Robert Gsellman was credited with his first complete game as New York defeated Philadelphia in a contest shortened to six innings because of rain.

The game, played in an increasing downpour in front of what appeared to be fewer than 1,000 people, was called after Phillies reliever Edubray Ramos struck out pinch hitter Travis Taijeron for the first out in the bottom of the sixth.

Gsellman (6-6) carried a three-hit shutout into the sixth. He wound up allowing three runs (two earned) and five hits. He also delivered an RBI single in the second inning.
