[September 14, 2017]   ELKHART - The Elkhart Historical Society announces its 3rd Saturday Art & Craft on September 16, 2017, which will feature both watercolor and acrylic painting with Reneé Sisk, at Horsefeathers, Ice Dyeing Scarves with Jamie Theobald at the Country Bumpkin, and Vintage Collage with Jean Tweet at Birdsong Books and Vintage.

This very popular Saturday event continues only thru October, and gives people a chance to be creative and enjoy the company of accompanying friends, or new friends at each class. The sessions are given twice on Saturday, once at 10 am and again at 1 pm, allowing enough time to grab a crafters lunch at the Wild Hare Café. Each of the shops in Elkhart offer a different craft, and the timing allows you to take two different classes in one day.

The watercolor subject will be a Cardinal on a berry branch and the acrylic subject will be a Tuscan landscape.
Ice Dyeing, is a new technique similar to tie dyeing, but using ice, please see the list of supplies you will need to bring on the website and Face Book page. You may bring your own article of white clothing or purchase a scarf to dye at the class. Vintage collage allows you to bring special items to add to your creation making it even more personal.
