[September 19, 2017]   On Saturday, the Lincoln College Men’s soccer team picked up their fourth win of the season with another overtime victory. This time, LC defeated Heartland Community College at home to improve their record in Region play to 4-1 (4-2 Overall).

The Lynx went into half time down by two goals, but came out firing in second half to even the score and end regular time tied 2-2. It would take 16 minutes of overtime play before sophomore Tajay Small (Kingston, Jamaica) played a chipped ball to sophomore Adrian Roman (Waukegan) who scored a golden goal to win the game. This is the 2nd game this season that the Lynx have won in overtime.

Coach Ben Massena said, “I’m proud of how the boys stayed in the game and worked hard even when we were down by 2 goals. It shows the heart and desire we have to play hard no matter what the score is!”

Next up for LC is an away match at Lewis & Clark College on Wednesday, September 20th.
