NHC says Hurricane Maria weakens slightly

[September 26, 2017]    (Reuters) - Hurricane Maria, a Category 1 storm, has weakened slightly as it moves northward, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Tuesday.

 

Maria is located about 210 miles (340 km) southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph (120 km per hour), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
