The Beason Volunteer Fire Department held their annual breakfast fundraiser Sunday morning in the firehouse. This is the only fundraiser of the year that the 14 member volunteer company sponsors, and it is always well attended. Over 100 people had already showed up by 9 a.m. and more were streaming in the door.

Like all volunteer departments, the Beason group is always training for the emergency runs they make, gathering once a month to keep their skills sharp.

Over 90% of the department’s calls are for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) reasons, not actual fires. The residents of the fire protection district are thankful for their skilled local first responders.

Every seat is full in the firehouse.

A pancake team keeps them coming.

A long line of hungry folks supporting the Beason volunteer fire department.

Got to have that chocolate milk with breakfast.
