 Before the children hunted for eggs, Chris
Whiteman told them the Easter story beginning with the events of
Palm Sunday followed by the Last Supper, Jesus' prayer in the
garden, Jesus' crucifixion, and finally, Jesus' resurrection.
Over sixty children from preschool through fifth grade then searched
for 2,500 eggs filled with either candy, prizes, or cash.
The eggs were hidden in three sections. The younger
children from ages two to five found eggs in a little area beside
the church.
Children from ages six to eight and nine to ten each
had separate sections to search in.

Once the children were done searching, the Easter
Bunny posed for a picture with several of them.
Back inside the warm church building, children
excitedly dug through their baskets of eggs looking for candy and
hopefully a special prize or even cash.
