Osborne does it all in Railers 11-0 softball win over Champaign

Kerstin Osborne pitched a no-hitter on Tuesday at Schweitzer Field
and she was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Her single and two
doubles drove in five runs for Lincoln. All in a day's work for the
senior from Lincoln.
Lincoln Coach Darrin Worth put it into words perfectly. "She pitched
really good, hit her spots and hit the ball really well. She did
everything tonight except sell popcorn."
Osborne pitched five innings from the circle and struck out five
batters.
Osborne was helped on the offensive end by Jacey Cooper, Sydney
Worth, Sydney Sutherland, Emily Paulus, Bayleigh Gillum, Aria
Pumfrey and Macailey Metelko. Each of these girls either came
through with hits or walks and managed to come across to either
score runs for Lincoln or get credit for an RBI. A nice team effort
against Champaign Central.
The Railers needed this win on the softball diamond after suffering
a couple tough losses on Saturday. The Railers fell 18-0 and 10-0 to
Charleston on Saturday and just managed one hit between the two
games.
Lincoln is a young team, with Osborne being the only senior this
season.
