Seven inmates dead, 17 hurt after South Carolina prison incident-paper

[April 16, 2018]    (Reuters) - Seven prison inmates were killed and 17 injured in an incident at a prison in South Carolina the local State newspaper reported on Monday, citing the state department of corrections.

Officials at the Lee Correctional Institution in Lee County, South Carolina, where the incident occurred, could not be reached for immediate comment.
