Logan County Realtors report first quarter 2018 home sales down

LINCOLN 

The first quarter of 2018 saw lower home sales numbers compared to 2017 for the same time period. The number of homes sold were down, and the average and median prices for the homes sold were down as well. Houses also tended to be on the market a similar period of time.

REALTORS in Logan County Board of REALTORS® sold 75 homes in the first quarter of 2018, 8 fewer than the 83 sold during the same time period in 2017.

The average selling price for homes in the 2018 time period was $88,203, down from $92,350 in 2017. Median prices were also down, $77,000 compared to $88,000.

The length of time that the average home was on the market found houses on the market for a bit longer time with the average "Days on Market" in 2018 155 days. This was 5 days longer than the same time period in 2017.
