[April 25, 2018]  The Lincoln Railers baseball team hosted Morton Tuesday afternoon and suffered a 9-1 loss to the Potters.

The Railers watched the game slip away early and they just couldn't recover against a group of powerful hitting seniors from Morton. Morton scored in the second, third and fifth innings off Lincoln pitchers. Lincoln scored their only run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Cameron Glick was the starting pitcher for Lincoln. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on four hits and striking out two. Austin Sparrow and Bryce Watkins entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Drew Singleton, Noah Funk, Brenden Eigenbrod and Jordan Jacobs each managed one hit to lead Lincoln.

The Railers will travel to Normal Friday afternoon to take on Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. at the Corn Crib.

On Saturday the Railers will play a conference doubleheader at Mount Zion. Game one is set for 11:00 am with game two scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
