[August 04, 2018]  On Thursday, dozens of children accompanied by their adult family members visited the special events barn at the Logan County Fair for Kids Day.

The event was hosted by the 2018 Queen Pageant Committee with that crew and volunteers working to provide for the youngsters a very happy and fun event.

Everyone was in an exceptional mood in spite of the large group. Children happily and patiently awaited their turns for balloon figures and face painting. The tables were lined with paper and crayons were shared as colorful artwork was manufactured.

Just outside the barn, kids had the chance to get a little wet with a water balloon fight that everyone enjoyed.

Of course, the 2018 Royalty were on hand and all three enjoyed spending time with the kids. It was quite noticeable that the Logan County Royals - Little Miss Kylee Fulk, Junior Miss Julia Collins and Queen Molly Schempp were intent on spending quality time with their “subjects.” The kids enjoyed all the attention the ladies gave them, and created some memories of the fair queen and princesses that will hopefully stay with them for years to come.

For the grown-ups, it was just a fun day to watch. As kids enjoyed the day, so did Queen Molly who enjoyed sitting at a table and drawing and coloring with the little ones and taking time to speak with the Father of the Fair, Dean Bruns.

Little Miss Kylee took advantage of the face painting to have a lovely design added to her profile and snagged an excellent balloon pet from the balloon lady. She also got a kick out of participating in the water balloon fight.

Miss Julia was happy to pose for a quick shot with a friend, both of whom had matching flower bracelets courtesy of the balloon lady.

Former Miss Logan County Fair Queen Bethany Rademaker was there, always looking after the current royalty, but also enjoying time with her family as they too participated in the fun and games.

All in all it was a great day at the fair for the little ones. Kudos to the crew who put the event together, it appeared that everything went just as planned and everyone had a really wonderful time.
