Herrera departed Tuesday's second game of a doubleheader versus the Atlanta Braves with tightness in his shoulder.

Washington recalled right-hander Koda Glover from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.

Herrera, 28, is 1-2 with three saves and a 4.76 ERA in 19 appearances for Washington since being obtained from the Kansas City Royals. He was 1-1 with 14 saves and a 1.05 ERA in 27 games prior to the trade.

--The Boston Red Sox activated third baseman Rafael Devers from the 10-day disabled list prior to their game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Devers was sidelined with a hamstring strain that he suffered while running the bases during a July 28 game against the Minnesota Twins. He went on the DL the following day.

Devers, 21, is batting .245 with 15 homers and 52 RBIs this season. The Red Sox optioned infielder Tony Renda to Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move.

--The Cleveland Indians released right-handed reliever Zach McAllister after designating him for assignment last week.

McAllister, 30, was moved off the roster on Friday to make room for the return of reliever Andrew Miller.

McAllister was 1-2 with a 4.97 ERA in 41 appearances out of the bullpen this season. He had been with the Indians since 2011 and went 29-35 with a 3.99 ERA in 277 appearances (68 starts).
