As school starts - please drive carefully

[August 11, 2018]  MOUNT PULASKI   - It's that time again.  The time for our Mount Pulaski schools to open.  I would like to simply remind everyone that at this time, we need to be aware of the number of children walking and the increased traffic volume particularly around out schools.

We should be vigilant year round with regard to our driving habits.  It is, however, exceptionally important that we pay closer attention at this time as traffic will be making the "beginning of the year" adjustments to the increased volume of pedestrians and vehicles.

Please assist me with welcoming our returning an/or new Mount Pulaski students this year.

Let's work toward keeping every Mount Pulaski student safe this year by exercising a bit of common courtesy and consideration of other's needs.

I am looking forward to once again being an active part of our education system by spending time with students in the halls of our schools throughout the year.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege to serve as your Chief of Police.
