TV: Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET (Green flag approx. 7:43 p.m. ET) - NBCSN (Radio: Performance Racing Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90).

THIS WEEK: The "Big Three" continue to dominate the season, with Kevin Harvick picking up his series-leading seventh victory of the season at Michigan on Sunday. ... Harvick, Kyle Busch (six wins) and Martin Truex Jr. (four) have won 17 of the 23 races so far, with No. 24 on tap Saturday night. ... Bristol is one of the series' toughest tracks at just a little over a half mile, and with high banking that collects crashed cars at the bottom causing some serious bent bodywork. But many of the crashed cars soldier on and a few of them even manage to win. ... This will be the 116th series race at the storied track dating back to 1961, with Busch winning the night race last year. He then won the Sunday day race earlier this season. ... Busch will be the odds-on favorite Saturday night to get his seventh win at the track and seventh this season. ... This is the 24th of 36 races this season. ... *Busch leads the points standings with 986, followed by *Harvick (924), *Truex (842), Kurt Busch (750), *Clint Bowyer (732), *Joey Logano (723), Brad Keselowski (709), Ryan Blaney (687), Denny Hamlin (684) and Kyle Larson (681) rounding out the top 10. ... *Chase Elliott is 11th (647) *Erik Jones is in 13th (596) and *Austin Dillon is in 20th (451), all inside the playoff cutoff.

While Kyle Busch has dominated the series at the track (and many others), races here have been a showcase for up-and-coming drivers in recent years, with Ryan Preece winning here this spring with Ryan Blaney, Erik Jones and Austin Dillon among young winners back to 2014. ... Busch won this race last season. ... . Justin Allgaier won a thriller Saturday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. ... *Christopher Bell leads the standings with 771 points, followed by Elliott Sadler (754), Daniel Hemric (754), Cole Custer (752), *Allgaier (751), Brandon Jones (623), *Tyler Reddick (606), Ryan Truex (596), Austin Cindric (559) and Matt Tifft (548) rounding out the top 10.

THIS WEEK: The Trucks are in their second week of three straight and making their only trip of the season to Bristol, where the wrecks are frequent and the bad feelings last awhile. ... This will be the 21st race at the track dating back to the series' inception in 1995. ... Kyle Busch won the race last year. ... Brett Moffitt edged out Johnny Sauter for the win Saturday at Michigan. ... This will be the 16th of 23 races this season. ... *Sauter leads the Truck standings (625 points), followed by *Noah Gragson (569), Grant Enfinger (550), Stewart Friesen (536), *Moffitt (533), Matt Crafton (497), *Justin Haley (494), *Ben Rhodes (492), Myatt Snider (403) and Cody Coughlin (380). Only eight drivers make the playoffs in the series.

VERIZON INDYCAR SERIES: ABC SUPPLY 500 (200 laps, 500 miles around a 2.5-mile three-turn triangular oval), Pocono Raceway; Long Pond, Pa.

THIS WEEK: The series is back at Pocono Raceway for its 14th of 17 races on the season and first of three straight weekends on the track. ... The series has raced here since 2013 and this will be the sixth race at the track. The defunct CART open-wheel series raced at Pocono nine times with winners that included legends such as Mario Andretti, Rick Mears, Bobby Unser, Bobby Rahal, Danny Sullivan and Teo Fabi. ... Will Power won this race last season. ... Alexander Rossi won the race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course two weeks ago to help tighten up the championship race. ... Scott Dixon has a comfortable lead in the championship as the New Zealander is on top of the standings (494 points), followed by Rossi (448), Josef Newgarden (434), Australia's Power (407) and Ryan Hunter-Reay (399).

THIS WEEK: The long summer break continues after 12 of 21 races this season, with F1 racing resuming at the Belgian Grand Prix on Aug. 26. ... Great Britain's Lewis Hamilton put some distance on his nearest pursuer in the championship race with a win in Hungary two weeks ago, but his nemesis Sebastian Vettel of Germany finished second, albeit over 17 seconds adrift. ... Barring an injury, the series is down to a two-man race for the title between the two four-time champions. ... Teams are likely done fine-tuning the cars for the stretch drive of the season, focusing by now on Belgium first. ... Hamilton leads the standings in his Mercedes with 213 points, followed by Vettel, Ferrari (189), Finland's Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari (146), Finland's Valterri Bottas, Mercedes (132) and Australia's Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull (118).

THIS WEEK: The sport heads to Minnesota for the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals for the 19th of 27 races this season. ... This is a key race as teams get ready for the "Big Go," the U.S. Nationals over Labor Day weekend in Indianapolis. With Brainerd being a track that often offers the same conditions as Indy, drivers and teams will be paying close attention to how to best dial in their cars and motorcycles. ... Winners at Pacific Raceways outside Seattle to end the Western Swing two weeks ago were Antron Brown in Top Fuel, Ron Capps in Funny Car and Tanner Gray in Pro Stock. Pro Stock Motorcycle had the weekend off but is back at Brainerd. ... Steve Torrence leads the Top Fuel standings (1,251 points), followed by Tony Schumacher (1,090), Clay Millican (1,084), Leah Pritchett (1,083) and Doug Kalitta (995) rounding out the top five. ... Courtney Force leads Funny Car (1,300), followed by Capps (1,146), Robert Hight (1,085), Matt Hagan (1,064) and Jack Beckman (999). ...
