On Tuesday, July 31st, a large group of friends, family, church family and Atlanta business representatives gathered at the Rodeway Inn in Atlanta to celebrate a milestone with the Holkar family that owns the motel long known as the Atlanta Route 66 Motel.

A ribbon cut was held to celebrate joining the family of Choice Motels.

Brothers Gaurav and Deepak Holkar are ministers in the Atlanta area and shared that they work to glorify God in all they do, including in the changes at the motel. They feel God has rewarded them for their commitment as once they turned the project over to Him it all fell together perfectly.

The family has owned the motel since 2006 when Gaurav and Deepak's father Sam Holkar bought the business. Gaurav now owns it with his sister Pollavi Misal serving as the motel manager, and Deepak being the spiritual leader for the family.

The motel has been redone inside with fresh paint, a wonderful breakfast and lobby area, and nicely decorated rooms.

Each Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. the conference room is open to the public and all are invited to attend a non-denominational prayer group.

After the ribbon cut on Tuesday guests were invited to stay a while to enjoy light refreshments, tour the motel, and visit with the Holkar family.
