Junior High Boys Baseball:  WLB first home game goes to Chester-East Lincoln

West Lincoln Broadwell hosted the Panthers of Chester East Lincoln in their home opener Friday with the Panthers coming away with a 13-2 win. The Panthers' Wyatt O'Donaghue threw a near-complete game striking out 12 in 6 2/3 innings. OD didn't walk a single hitter. Jacob Langley took the loss on the mound for the Wolverines. Langley went two innings and surrendered five runs, all earned.

CEL scored once in the opening frame, added four in the second, two in the third, four more in the 5th, and two in the 7th inning. WLB's Luke Jones hurled the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings while Jackson Geriets finished the 6th and 7th.

The Wolverines put their two runs on the board in the bottom of the 4th inning when Trey Schilling led off with a solid single to left-center. Jacob Langley followed with an RBI double to left scoring Schilling. Langley scored on an RBI single down the line by Michael Lucas.
