Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers split with Warrensburg-Latham

[December 03, 2018]    The Lady Toppers hosted Warrensburg-Latham on Saturday and the two teams split the wins.

 

The Lady Toppers Varsity came from behind to win 54-47 over Warrensburg-Latham.

Mount Pulaski trailed the Lady Cardinals 33-21 at the half but a huge second half out of Skylar Hayes and Isabella Wade allowed the Lady Toppers to take over.

Hayes and Wade combined for 28 second-half points. With the score knotted at 40-40 at the end of three quarters it was anybody's game. Hayes and Wade kept pouring in the points and an outstanding defensive effort by the team held the Lady Cardinals to just seven points in the fourth quarter.

Mount Pulaski claimed the 54-47 win and improves their record to 5-2 on the season.

Hayes finished with 24 points and Wade finished with 19 points for Mount Pulaski.

The Lady Cardinals won the JV contest by a score of 55-24 over Mount Pulaski.
