Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at the church

Obituary

Elsie Mammen, 100, of Emden passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at The Christian Village in Lincoln. Elsie was born on December 07, 1917 in Emden, the daughter of Eise and Antje (Terviel) Eeten. She married Myron Mammen on May 31, 1952 in Emden, he preceded her in death on May 26, 1988.

Elsie is survived by her children, MariAnne (Lee) Komnick of Lincoln, and Roger Mammen of North Glenn, Colorado; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, six sisters, and one granddaughter.

Elsie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden.

 

Services for Elsie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden, with Rev. John Schurter officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the church. Burial will follow the services at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose.

Memorial donations may be made in Elsie’s name to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mason City Area Nursing Home, or The Christian Village.

Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
