Movies have long had the capability to have tremendously powerful
			positive effects on people.
Our parents and grandparents, members of the Greatest Generation,
attended uplifting and happy Saturday matinees to escape the
challenges and difficulties of the Great Depression and World War
II. The positive messages and lessons learned from these motions
pictures shaped and formed their thoughts and actions for the rest
			of their lives.

Although we are not in the midst of a depression or world war, many
feel that the world of 2018 has more folks in need than at any point
in our past. The sick, recovering, lonely, broken-hearted,
financially challenged, somehow addicted and otherwise troubled
exist in every social and economic class.

The Lincoln Family Theater is breaking exciting new ground by
showing a recently released uplifting, spiritual, inspirational
movie FREE every day, seven days a week. From November 9 – 15 LFT
played 2018’s “I Can Only Imagine,” based on a true powerful story
of love and forgiveness. The film won the "Inspirational Film of the
Year" award at the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards in October.

“I fully believe that cinema can change individual lives and the Lincoln
community as a whole,” says Marilyn Altman, LFT Operations Manager. “With us
providing these movies consistently every day, we believe more and more people
will attend and take advantage of the great effect it can have on them. We
encourage members of the community to carry out their own personal ministry and
invite and bring those in need that they know or simply come in contact with.”

Deb and Steve Givan attended this week’s showing of the film “Where Hope Grows.”
Steve commented, “the character Produce truly had a great heart. Seeing it
really made me feel good.” Having worked at the Lincoln Developmental Center,
the film was especially meaningful to Deb. “It reminded me of the wonderful
clients we had there. They were such loving people.” Both agreed that they were
excited about the future of Miracle Movie Ministries. In addition, Deb has
signed up to be a volunteer part time greeter at the theater.
Award winning actor and director Tom Hanks has said, “"Everybody has something
that gets them and, for me, that thing was loneliness. Movies have the ability
to make you feel not alone."

Until the end of 2018, daily show times are Tuesday – Friday at 2:00 p.m. and
Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Beginning in January 2019 times will be daily
at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
