Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers give state-ranked Williamsville Bullets a run for their money
Teams raise $1,650 for Missions for Taylorville

[December 12, 2018]    The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers surprised Williamsville on Tuesday night by giving the state-ranked Bullets a run for their money at the Ed Butkovich Gymnasium.

 

The Bullets held a 19-9 lead at the end of the first quarter but Mount Pulaski put together a run in the second quarter to take a 28-27 halftime lead. By the end of the third quarter the two teams were knotted 41-41. The game was still within reach for the Hilltoppers with three minutes left to play, but the Bullets hit 6-of-8 free throws down the stretch and picked up the 60-49 win over Mount Pulaski.

 

Mount Pulaski was led in scoring by Grant Davis with 15 points and Dustin Murphy with 13 points.

 

Griffin Keebler led Williamsville with 13 points.

 

Williamsville won the JV contest 37-26 over Mount Pulaski. 

 

Mount Pulaski will travel to Athens Friday night to play the Warriors. JV tip-off is 6:00 p.m. Varsity will tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
