Every year Lincoln Emblem Club delivers food baskets to seniors, veterans and families that need a little extra help this time of year.

This year's committee chairman for the Christmas Food Basket give-away, Rachel A. Lessen said, "We are delivering to 114 seniors/families!"

After gathering inside IGA for hot biscuits and gravy, Emblem members hopped in their vehicles to pull up to the back entry of IGA where their vehicles were loaded by IGA employees with bags of wonderful food to prepare holiday meals.

IGA employees loaded one vehicle after the next of a long line on Saturday morning. It was the annual Christmas Food Basket give-away delivery sponsored by the Lincoln Emblem Club.]

Some dressed for the occasion. Here Bob and Diane Farmer are in the holiday spirit and ready to deliver the goods plus smiles.

And then everyone was on their way to spread a little cheer. What a great way to spend a Saturday, caring for one another in our community
