Liberty Power Moves Ahead with 202 MW Sugar Creek Wind Project

Liberty Power, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (“APUC”), today announced its previously completed purchase of development rights to the Sugar Creek Wind project from Apex Clean Energy. The 202 MW wind project is located in Logan County in central Illinois. Liberty Power expects to complete permitting activities so as to allow commencement of project construction in 2019.
