Obituary

Ethel I. Overbey, 79, of Lincoln passed away on January 23, 2018 at Symphony of Lincoln.

Ethel was born on April 9, 1938 in Elkhart. The daughter of George Elwood and Virgie (Rhodes ) Van Fossan. She married Jerry E. Overbey on October 4, 1958 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2012.

Ethel is survived by one daughter, Becky Boyer of Lincoln; one son, Jason (Pam) Overbey of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Allen (Cindy) Boyer, Cory Boyer, Tosha Boyer, Teresa Overbey, Randy Overbey, Amy Jo Overbey and Caitlyn Sutton; ten great-grandchildren, Jessica (David Coers) Sizemore, Breanna (Brandon Brawdy) Simmons, Hanna Boyer, Milo Morrow, Raige Barger, Zach Barger, Kylie Boyer, Lexy Boyer, Aleigha Harp, and Carter Harp; great-great-grandchildren, Jude Coers, Xavier Campbell, and Liam Coers; seven sisters, Gladys Elkins, Margret Edwards, Jean Boyer, Sharon Follis, Rose Mary Musick , Helen Hoagland, and Laura Mae Molt; one brother, Claude Van Fossan all of Lincoln;

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, George and Loren, and one sister, Freda.

Ethel was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

A celebration of Ethel’s life will be held from 12:00-4:00p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at The Idle Hour in Lincoln. Graveside services will be held on a later date.

Memorials may be made in Ethel’s name to Beason Fire Dept.
