Memorial Medical Center will host a free program on men's health on Thursday, Feb. 22, in the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation (MCLI).

The program, “Men's Health Tune-Up,” begins at 5:30 p.m. with free health screenings and appetizers followed by the formal program at 6 p.m., which will focus on sleep apnea and Parkinson's disease. The formal one-hour program will feature Dr. James Abraham, a Springfield Clinic physician who specializes in pulmonology and sleep medicine; he'll discuss sleep apnea and its connection to cardiovascular disease.

He'll be followed by Charlene Young, a family nurse practitioner with SIU Medicine, who will focus on Parkinson's disease; Josh Grant, a physician therapist with Memorial's SportsCare, will talk about the Rock Steady Boxing program, which helps people with Parkinson's disease improve their mobility and dexterity.
