Peyton Manning to drive Daytona 500 pace car

[February 14, 2018]  Peyton Manning was named the honorary pace-car driver for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

"Serving as the honorary pace-car driver will be a truly unique and exciting experience," Manning said in a news release.

The 60th annual Daytona 500 is scheduled for Sunday at Daytona International Speedway.

Fellow Nationwide Insurance spokesperson Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the grand marshal for the race, and will prompt Manning to lead the field from pit row.

Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron will wave the green flag to start the race.
