According to WLB Coach Kim Heitzig, the Lady
Wolverines 7th grade volleyball team has not won a regional
title in 25 years. The ladies will get a shot at breaking that
streak tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. as they host Decatur LSA for
the Class 7-1A Regional 10 Championship.
The road to the championship:
WLB defeated Chester-East Lincoln in the opening round 25-16 and
25-3. The Lady Wolverines then beat Decatur Our Lady of the
Lourdes 25-19 and 25-14. In the other bracket, Carroll Catholic
defeated Decatur Garfield Montessori 25-18 and 25-17. Decatur
LSA then ended Carroll Catholic's season in two sets, 27-25 and
25-12. The stage is now set for WLB (no. 2 seed) to host Decatur
LSA (no.1 seed) tomorrow night. Good luck to the Lady
