[December 31, 2017]  LINCOLN - The Board of Education of Lincoln Community High School is proud to announce the floor in Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium will officially be named Coach Neil Alexander court at a ceremony to be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

All former students, colleagues, and the community are welcome to attend and honor Neil. Game time is 6:30 p.m. when the Railers will play Chicago Harlan. The naming ceremony will take place just prior to the game.

Mr. Alexander is being honored for his years of service to Lincoln Community High School, where he has taught physical education, coached track and field, and coaches boys’ basketball from 1990- 2017. While he enjoyed encouraging his students to be physically active and healthy, his true passion is for the game of basketball, which he still coaches. Along with his continued service as the head boys’ basketball coach, he also serves as the activities director at LCHS. Neil loves mentoring his athletes to be the best they can be on and off the court. He embraces the challenge of teaching his athletes not just about the game, but the attitude in which the game is played. He serves to provide the skills to play the game and the life lessons to be successful.
