[January 03, 2018]  LINCOLN -  Shirley Ann Hackett, 82, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully December 30, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation: 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Celebration of Life Service:  1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home

Obituary

Shirley Ann Hackett, 82, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully December 30, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m. There will be no burial at this time.

Shirley was born June 24, 1935 in Monesson, PA., the daughter of Fred I. Mullen and Mary D. (Price) Mullen-Smith. She married Jack A. Hackett on February 18, 1956 in Hollywood, CA. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2007.

She attended Lincoln Christian Church and was baptized into the faith on December 20, 2017. Shirley was an LPN for 35 years, most recently being employed by Maple Ridge Care Center. She enjoyed going to the River Boat, Bingo, and Bowling.

 

Survivors include her children: Mark Hackett of Lincoln, Brian (Pam) Hackett of NC, Douglas (Michelle) Hackett of Lincoln, James Hackett of Lincoln, Dawn McAllister (Dan Moffatt) of Lincoln; grandchildren: Bryan "BJ" Hackett, Nicole (Zack) Kiedysz, Thomas Hackett, Emily Hackett, Cheyanne Maxey, Levi Hackett, and Jade Hackett; step grandchildren: Autumn, Josh, and Shawn; Great Grandchildren: David Lolling, Alexa Kiedysz, and Kayden Hackett; sisters Sandy (Dave) Breazele of AZ. and Terry (Jack) Mullen of CA; special friends Lois Berry and Mabel Myrick; and special nephew Bill (Darlene) MacMillen and their granddaughter Angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Mullen, sister Jean Aitchison, sister Ruth A. Miller, and sister Nancy Mullen.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
