[January 19, 2018]  LINCOLN - Katharina Bertha Goldhammer, 96, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on January 16, 2018 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday January 22, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln,

Service: 11 a.m. Monday at the church

Obituary

Katharina Bertha Goldhammer, 96, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on January 16, 2018 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Katharina was born on November 3, 1921 in Emden, daughter of Frederick and Wilhelmina (Englehorn) Wiggers. She married John H. Goldhammer on October 21, 1961 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1986.

She is survived by her cousin: Harold (Vi) Wiggers, her sister-in-law Darlene (Bob) Singley, nieces and nephews: Elizabeth (Tom) Kavelman, Lori (Paul) Bottrell, Lois Pruitt, Roger Wainwright, Carrie Wiggers, Karen (John) Sandel, Amy (Nathan) Chen, Bobby (Jill) Awe, Alan (Sheryl) Wiggers, Kim (Paul) Otte, Kurt (Ronda) Wiggers, Pam (Rex) Mallekoote, Beckie (Mike) Geskey, Valerie (Jimmy) Wright, Roger (Julie) Matson, Randy (Ann) Matson, Rodney (Tammy) Matson, Mark (Patty) Wiggers, Debbie (Rick) Bilyeu, and Doug Wiggers; several great-nieces and great-nephews; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Mildred, Eileen, Frederick, Marvin, Kendall, Thelma, and Milton, and one nephew: Kevin Wiggers. Katharina was the oldest and last living relative of her immediate family.

Katharina was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln including the Ruth Circle. She was a member of ESA Sorority and worked for over 25 years at Glenn Pontiac- Cadillac Dealership as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper.

Services for Katharina will be 11:00 a.m. Monday January 22, 2018 at The First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, with Rev. Brad Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service also at the church. Burial at Hartsburg- Union Cemetery will follow the service.

Memorials may be made in Katharina’s name to The Logan County Food Pantry or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
