Hartsburg-Emden boys basketball suffers tough week at the 7th Annual Auburn Basketball Invitational Tournament

It was a tough week on the basketball court dating back to last Monday night for the Hartem Stags. The Stags opened play in the 7th Annual Auburn Basketball Invitational with a 76-68 loss to Springfield Lutheran.

On Tuesday night the Stags were defeated 71-51 by the host team, the Auburn Trojans.

In Wednesday night’s game the Stags fell to North Mac by a score of 63-47.

The Stags got a night off Thursday night but returned to action on Friday only to lose to Springfield Calvary by a score of 71-43.

Saturday the tournament concluded and the Stags were defeated by South County 68-53.

The Stags will return to regular season action this week and play Tuesday night at Decatur Christian. The JV game will tip-off at 6 p.m. with the Varsity contest to follow.
