[January 30, 2018]  LINCOLN -  Elva Hallett, age 90, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 on Tuesday, January 23 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

Obituary

Elva Hallett, age 90, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 on Tuesday, January 23 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.

Elva was born on October 26, in Charleston, WV to the late Isom and Cordie ( Page) Elrod.  She married James Hallett on April 30, 1944.
Elva was a long time member of Lincoln Christian Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived her daughters, Nancy Sherren, husband Kenny of Lincoln and Dottie Janitz, husband Terry of Bonita Springs, Fl, and John Guzzardo, son in law of Lincoln. She is also survived by her grand children Jim Sherren (Chris) of Monticello, Fl, Scott Sherren of Lincoln, Nick and wife Shelly Guzzardo of Lincoln, Shelly Corbin (Richard), Of Austin, TX. Janell Kjoelen (Arve) of NC, Dustin Heath (Caitlin) of Naples, Fl. and 18 great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Frankie Guzzardo, son Jimmy Hallett, brothers Bobby, Claude and Isom Elrod and sisters Nancy Stonestreet, Delores Anderson and Monna Powell.

Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Christian Church.
