[January 30, 2018]    The Lincoln College Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving teams were in action once again this past Friday at The University of Illinois (NCAA DI) for The Illinois Quad Meet. Teams involved in the event included the University of Illinois, University of Eastern Illinois (NCAA DI), Youngstown State University (NCAAA DI), and Olivet Nazarene (NAIA). Both Lincoln teams finished last place in overall scoring.

The highlight of the meet for the Lady Lynx was the performance of Colleen Furgeson (Marshal Islands) who broke her own school record in the 100 IM by two seconds. For the men’s team, Macoy Neinas, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, finished as the top individual point scorer on the team. Neinas was also the team’s highest place finisher taking 4th in the 100 IM.

Lincoln Head Coach Jonathan Jordan said, “We went into this meet knowing that we could not touch the three incredible teams in overall scoring. However, it was nice to see the team have some great swims with many season and lifetime best times.”

The Lynx Swimming and diving team will be in action again next Saturday January 3rd with the diving team traveling to the University of Illinois at Chicago for the U of C Diving Invite and the swimmers traveling to Millikan University.
