[July 12, 2018]    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. government has reopened its investigation into the 1955 death of black teenager Emmett Till in Mississippi, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday, citing a report from the U.S. Department of Justice.

The report, sent to Congress in March, said it was reopening the probe after receiving "new information" on the slaying, which helped spark the U.S. civil rights movement, the AP said. The case had been closed in 2007, it added.
