Lincoln College’s first-year Athletic Director Mark Perdue has been
busy this summer in preparation for leading the LC Athletics
Department into its inaugural season of competition as a member of
the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Perdue’s top priorities during the off-season have included helping
his coaches build competitive schedules, entering the department
into a uniform & equipment contract with a major athletics dealer,
and the launching of a new athletics website.
According to Perdue, all three of these goals are well on their way
to being realized. “Our coaches have been able to create schedules
that will keep our athletes playing at a high level and allow us to
take advantage of our location to keep travel time at an acceptable
level,” he said.
The first teams to go into action for the Lynx this fall will be the
Cross Country, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, and Women’s Soccer
teams.
Cross Country will see the least amount of change to their schedule
due to the fact that the LC team has participated in events that
include four-year schools in the past.
Men’s Soccer has a 16 match schedule set up with four of their
matches being played at home. The first home match for the Lynx will
be on August 29th against St. Ambrose.
The Women’s Volleyball team will also play their first home event as
an NAIA program on August 29th when they host Judson University. The
Lady Lynx will feature a number of local players on their roster
including four Lincoln Community High School grads: Kaylyn Hoffert,
Morgan and Kennedy Lolling and Grace Bossingham.
The Women’s Soccer team will be making their return to competition
after not fielding a team in 2017. The team will be under the
direction of first-year head coach Frank Eguez and will compete in
twelve matches. The first home event is scheduled for September
14th.

As for his goal of entering LC into a uniform and equipment
contract, Perdue is pleased to announce that Lincoln College will
begin a multi-year partnership with Bumblebee Team Sports a
division of Brennan-Eberly Team Sports, Inc. and Adidas.
Bumblebee Sports is a Nicholasville, Kentucky-based company which
will serve as the direct contact between Lincoln College and Adidas
to assist the school in purchasing Adidas apparel, footwear and
accessories for the Lynx athletic teams through the 2022-23 season.
“We are excited to team with Bumblebee Team Sports in order to make
Adidas products available to our Student-Athletes and have their
iconic brand across our Department," said Perdue.
Perdue’s third major goal for the summer was to oversee the launch
of a new athletics website. This goal will be realized when the
school’s new site
www.lincolnlynxsports.com goes live on July 13th.
Designed and hosted by SIDHelp, the new athletics web page offers a
more responsive design to allow fans to find the information they
want on all devices.
According to Perdue, “For many prospective athletes, a school’s
athletics web page is their first point of contact; therefore, we
want our site to be one that students and parents will be attracted
to and that can highlight all of the opportunities available to the
student-athletes at Lincoln College.”
