Davis, 32, was charged Tuesday with felony assault by means of force likely to produce bodily injury and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.

The alleged incident took place April 8 outside the West Hollywood nightclub Penthouse, with the alleged victim reportedly suffering multiple broken bones in his face and ribs, according to TMZ Sports.

Davis was reportedly released on $50,000 bond after he turned himself over to Los Angeles police in May.

Davis was arrested at a Maryland hotel on drug possession and distribution charges in February. Police said they found 126 grams of marijuana and a briefcase containing $92,164 in cash when they searched Davis' room. Davis' attorney said his client plans to fight the charges in court.

Davis spent eight seasons in the NBA with the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds in 514 regular-season games.
