[June 11, 2018]  Tim Anderson helped generate two unusual runs Sunday afternoon as the Chicago White Sox pulled away for a 5-2 win over the Boston Red Sox in the finale of a three-game series at Fenway Park.

The White Sox took two of three to earn their third straight series win. The Red Sox have lost three of four.

Anderson's bases-loaded walk in the third snapped a 1-all tie and gave the White Sox the lead for good. It was the first bases-loaded walk drawn in the majors by Anderson, who entered Sunday with just one hit in 18 plate appearances with the bases loaded.

Another walk by Anderson helped set up the White Sox's third run. After drawing a leadoff walk against Rick Porcello, Anderson advanced to second on Charlie Tilson's bunt and raced home on Trayce Thompson's groundout to first.

Anderson paused briefly while rounding third but sprinted toward the plate when Porcello tumbled over while covering the bag. Porcello got up and fired home but Anderson easily beat the throw.

Jose Abreu had an RBI double in the first inning for the White Sox. Daniel Palka added a two-run double in the eighth.

Reynaldo Lopez (2-4) earned the win after allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out six over 6 1/3 innings. Joakim Soria earned his eighth save with a hitless ninth.

Lopez wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth, which ended with Blake Swihart popping out to Anderson in shallow centerfield.

Rafael Devers laced an RBI single in the second for the Red Sox, who pulled within 3-2 when Eduardo Nunez scored on Yoan Moncada's error in the seventh.

Porcello (8-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings.
