THIS WEEK: The series is back in action after the Father's Day break for the first of three-road course races on the season, turning left and right this Sunday at Sonoma for 352 kilometers (thus the 350 in the race name). This is the 16th of 36 races this season. ... This will be the 30th series race at the track, dating back to 1989. ... Kevin Harvick won this race last year and will be looking to add another trophy to the five he's already brought home in 2018. ... Clint Bowyer won the rain-shortened race at Michigan two weeks ago. ... Bowyer's win was the ninth this season for a Ford Fusion, with a Toyota Camry taking six of the other seven. That leaves the Chevrolet Camaro with a lone win, by Austin Dillon, in the season-opening Daytona 500. ... Handling will be at a premium at Sonoma, something the Chevrolets have struggled with all season ... *Kyle Busch leads the points standings with 664, followed by *Harvick (589), *Joey Logano (566), Brad Keselowski (514), *Bowyer (510), *Martin Truex Jr. (506), Kurt Busch (493), Denny Hamlin (468), Ryan Blaney (457) and Kyle Larson (443). ... Daytona 500 winner * Dillon is in 18th (292) and inside the playoff cutoff.

THIS WEEK: The series makes its annual trip to the St. Louis area at a track it has raced on since 1998. There was a three-year break from 2011-14 making this the 18th race at the track. ... This will be the 10th of 23 races on the season ... John Hunter Nemechek won this race last year. ... Gateway is a fast track for its short distance and known to see tempers flare when the trucks visit. ... Brett Moffitt is coming off a win last week at Iowa, his second of the season. ... *Johnny Sauter leads the Truck standings (419 points), followed by *Noah Gragson (348), *Moffitt (334), Stewart Friesen (308), Grant Enfinger (308), Matt Crafton (300), Ben Rhodes (291), Justin Haley (278), Myatt Snider (247) and Dalton Sargeant (239). Only eight drivers make the playoffs in the series.

THIS WEEK: Road America opened in 1955 and has been hosting major events ever since with the IndyCar Series coming in 2016. ... This is the third year for the race, but the rival and now-defunct CART Series raced at the track every year from 1982-2007 except for 2005. ... Long for a road course at just over four miles, fuel management can be an issue, but there is no shortage of places to pass. ... Scott Dixon won this race last year and comes into it on the heels of a win in Texas two weeks ago. ... New Zealand's Dixon leads the standings (357 points), followed by Rossi (334), Australian Will Power (321), Ryan Hunter-Reay (308) and Josef Newgarden (289) rounding out the top five.

THIS WEEK: The French Grand Prix is back on the schedule for the first time since 2008 and back at Circuit Paul Ricard for the first time since 1990. ... This is the eighth of 21 races this season and is the first of seven straight that will be contested in Europe. ... The circuit has a long straight (Mistral) broken up by a chicane, but all eyes will be on Turn 10 (Signes), a right-hand sweeper that drivers will attempt to take flat out if they want to hold position. ... Sebastian Vettel won the race in Canada, starting from the pole and cruising to the easy win. ... Germany's Vettel leads the standings with 121 points in his Ferrari, followed by Great Britain's Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes (120), Finland's Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes (86), Australia's Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull (84) and Finland's Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari (68).
