[March 05, 2018]  Class 8-1A Regional 10 hosted by Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes

On Saturday Carroll Catholic edged out Decatur Lutheran in two sets 25-19 and 27-25 to survive and advance to the next regional round. Carroll Catholic (5th seed) earns a match with the host and first seed Our Lady of Lourdes. They will play at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Also on Saturday Decatur Holy Family ended the season for Chester-East Lincoln in two quick sets, 25-5 and 25-9.

Finally, on Saturday West Lincoln-Broadwell defeated Decatur Garfield Montessori 25-16 and 25-8 to advance to the 7 p.m. game on Tuesday versus Decatur Holy Family. WLB is the third seed and Holy Family is the 2nd seed in that matchup.

Class 8-2A Regional 9 hosted by Mason City Illini Central

On Saturday at Mason City, the host and first seeded Illini Central Cougars eliminated Delavan 25-5 and 25-9. The Cougars are now 21-2 on the season.

Also on Saturday Mount Pulaski (second seed) needed three sets to defeat Springfield Christ the King third seed). The Honeybears survive and advance by scores of 22-25, 25-15 and 25-13 over Christ the King.

The highly-anticipated matchup of first seed versus second seed is now complete as Illini Central will face Mount Pulaski for the regional championship at 6 p.m. Tuesday night in Mason City.

Hartsburg-Emden (first seed) will play on Wednesday at 6 p.m. versus an opponent TBD.

Class 8-4A Regional 11 hosted by Lincoln Junior High School

Lincoln Junior High School (fourth seed) opens regional action on their home court on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. versus Washington Central (fifth seed).
