[March 15, 2018]    Two Baylor football players were suspended on Wednesday amid allegations of sexual assault stemming from an off-campus incident in November.

Baylor coach Matt Rhule told Waco, Texas, station KCEN-TV that the players had been "separated" from the team due to the investigation.

"I can't get into too many of the details on this specific incident," Rhule told KCEN-TV, per ESPN. "I really don't know too many of the details on this specific incident, but I do know things have been handled the right way."

Rhule declined to identify the players.

--Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Baker Mayfield put on a show for scouts at Oklahoma's pro day, helping boost his stock as a potential top-10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

In the workout, much of it televised on NFL Network, Mayfield threw more than 50 passes, including just seven incompletions -- two of them drops.

Joining Mayfield at pro day was offensive lineman Orlando Brown, who was looking to make up for a less-than-stellar showing at the combine. Brown improved on his numbers in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, vertical jump and bench press.

--Mayfield is one of 28 semifinalists announced for the 88th annual Sullivan Award, presented to the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States.

He is one of four FBS players making the cut. The others are Heisman finalist running back Bryce Love of Stanford, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and Virginia linebacker Micah Kiser.

Four of the last five winners of the award have been college football players, most recently Keenan Reynolds of Navy in 2016.
