Steven W. Bowns, 65, of Atlanta, passed away at 4:16 p.m. on Monday,
March 19, 2018, at The Christian Village in Lincoln. |

5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22,
2018 at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Service:
11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary
Steven W. Bowns, 65, of Atlanta,
passed away at 4:16 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018,
at The Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowns will be held on
Friday, March 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Dr. LC
Sutton will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the funeral
home.
Steven Wayne Bowns was born May 1, 1952, in Lincoln,
the son of Wayne F. and Bertie L. Downing Bowns. He
married Lisa K. Dirks on Nov. 24, 1986. She
survives.
Steve is also survived by his children: Mike (Beth)
Bowns of Aledo, Ashley (Josh) Collins of Atlanta,
and Courtney Satterfield of Atlanta; four
grandchildren: Emily, Julia, Connor, and Xiomara;
his mother: Bertie Bowns; and three brothers: Jerry
(Cince) Bowns of Lincoln, Paul (Mary) Bowns of
Maryland, and Don Bowns of Lincoln. |
He was preceded in death by his father.
Steve graduates from the Atlanta High School in 1970.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, baking, and mushroom hunting. His
grandchildren were the Light of his life.
Steve had worked as a Service Manager at Dennison Ford in
Bloomington and Rub Ford in Gardner.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad or The Christian
Village in Lincoln.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of
Atlanta.
