LINCOLN
The city of Lincoln on
Monday agreed to a contract for electrical aggregation with Nordic
Energy Services. The rate received is going to be .04825 per kWh.
Ameren's current default rate is $0.0617, so this will represent a
savings of about $10 per month on the average household. The
electric aggregation program is an "Opt Out" program, meaning that
all Lincoln residents will be automatically enrolled unless they
choose to opt out.
The city utilized Stone River Group with offices in Lincoln to
negotiate the new contract. The new rates should take effect around
the first of June. Stone River Group will be sending out notices
over the next 60 days that will provide complete information about
the new contract.
