On Saturday, go Hog Wild with a good run around the neighborhood

[May 30, 2018]   For the third year, the Lincoln Park District will host the Run Hog Wild 5K race starting at 8 a.m. at the Park District.

Be sure to get there early for check-in registration which will start at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:45 a.m.

This will be a chip timed race, run by Champion Chip. There will be one water stop on Home Avenue.

The day of the race, participants will receive a Race bib and t-shirt. After the race all finishers will be eligible to pick up a free barbeque and beverage at Spirited Republic. Beverage choices will be bottled water or one beer. ID will be checked and participants must be 21 or older to receive a beer.

The race will run on a marked route, and winners will be announced at 9 a.m. at Spirited Republic on Pekin Street downtown.

The race will be divided into age groups with the top three finishers in each age group receiving an award. There will also be trophies awarded to the Overall Top Finisher Male and Overall Top Finisher Female.
